My parent listing went from a 21 color variation listing to This product is not part of a variation

Up until today we have been able to edit the parent listing, add new colors, send in inventory (it is our TM and branded listing). Today when we try to add a new color to the listing we get "This product is not part of a variation". Amazon has no idea why this has happened or how to fix it (as usual).

We do see the Parent listing still has 21 colors attached to it but we still get "This product is not part of a variation" when we click edit on the Parent listing. How is this possible?

1. I can barely understand what an Amazon reps say

2. Amazon reps swear they have fixed it and it never does gets fixed

Anyone else experience this?

We have our products for the listings packaged up with the FNSKU on it but we are debating if we should just delete the listing and creating a new listing and put new stickers (FNSKU) on the products.

Last time we had a listing problem we were on the phone with SS everyday for 3 weeks uploading new spec sheets, deleting, doing everything they swore would fix it, just a nightmare until one rep said There is no fix just delete the listings and redo it all. LOL.

Is it displaying as a variation group on the buyer side? Have you tried updating the variation group via a flat-file upload?

If you take the Parent ASIN, and attempt to add product via "Create variations using Variation Wizard", does it show all of the children? If so, download the template, add your "orphaned ASIN" on a new line of the excel. Reupload.

Similar problems here. Seller support is unable to fix the problem, which is obviously an issue with the catalog.

It is a nightmare that goes on and on for weeks with no end in sight. Sometimes, deleting and redoing the listings can cause an even bigger problem than before, and you might end up wishing you had not tried to fix the first problem.

I have opened so many tickets and followed up so many times, I am about to give up trying. Sadly, there is inventory in the warehouse so I feel like I have no choice.
