SFP deliver-by dates make no sense

We're an SFP seller, with four warehouses around the coutry assigned to our Nationwide Prime template, which uses SSA. Some of the deliver-by dates that we're getting lately make no sense whatsoever. We've been selling a long time, so of course we've seen some weirdness before, but it seems worse lately.

Example: On Friday, we had an order with a Friday ship date and a Saturday delivery-by date to an address 464 miles from our closest warehouse and in an area where UPS (the only carrier enabled on our Prime template) doesn't offer Saturday delivery. We bought a UPS Next-Day Air label through Buy Shipping, but that delivery will be on Monday at the earliest. Meanwhile we have another order to ship today (Saturday) to a customer 15 miles away - and the deliver-by date is Thursday. Five days to go 15 miles? There's no inclement weather in our area or any other extenuating circumstance.

Obviously, when SSA sets deliver-by dates too far out, that hurts our sales. And when they set deliver-by dates that are too soon, that puts us in the position of needing to cancel the order or ship it knowing that it's going to be late, to the detriment of our on-time delivery metrics.

I checked our Prime template, and nothing has changed or seems to be incorrect. Our cutoffs haven't changed, and we're still using 0-day handling. So I'm wondering if there's a known issue with the UPS data that's being used by SSA to calculate those delivery dates. Is anyone else experiencing anything like this?

I opened a Seller Support case to ask why this is happening, and as expected, their first response was completely irrelevant (pertaining to ship-by dates instead of deliver-by dates) and the second response was generic, useless cut-and-pasted boilerplate that didn't address my specific queries about the order IDs that I provided, so I gave up.

@Dominic_Amazon this is what I was referring to; the case ID was 15375882421. Amazon is setting sellers up for failure because SSA creates deliver-by dates that are either too far in the future (thus suppressing sales) or impossible to achieve (i.e., a next-day deliver-by date on a Saturday to an area that Amazon should know no carrier services on Saturdays).

I'd like to know if this is a known issue and what the root cause is. Is there a problem in the data that SSA uses to calculate deliver-by dates? If so, is anyone working on it it? When will it be resolved? Will late deliveries arising from bad data be wiped from sellers' on-time delivery scores?
