Amazon automatically authorized a return 62 days after purchase?
I had a buyer request a return 62 days after purchase. The reason given - “No longer needed.” There was nothing wrong with the product - it was a book. I didn’t authorize this. Apparently the item is already being shipped back to me a cost of almost $6 out of my pocket. So after I ship, pay fees, and pay for return shipping, I lose money. According to amazon’s return policy, returns are allowable for 30 days. Why is this 62 day return allowed? I’m thinking this place, much like ebay, has turned against the sellers and is not a good place to unload unwanted and needed items any more. This stinks.

Our 2022 Extended Holiday Returns policy requires that most items purchased between October 7, 2022, and December 31, 2022, are returnable through January 31, 2023.

How have you been selling since 2018 and not know about the extended holiday return period? Why would you waste your time and Amazon’s time by opening a case about it?
