Regarding the issue of receiving notification that your Amazon account has been deactivated and the request to reactivate it.
I am a new Amazon seller, and my account has only been active for one month. I recently received a notification that my account has been deactivated. To reactivate it, Amazon is asking me to submit a utility bill (for gas, electricity, water, or internet services) issued within the past 90 days, with my name and address clearly visible. However, my credit card has only been used to pay for Amazon store fees, and I haven’t incurred other utility expenses yet. What should I do? How can I appeal to reactivate my account? As I’m not fully familiar with Amazon’s policies, I’m seeking help on forums. Thank you very much.

Hi @Seller_dnEXjJvpXI6Kr,
This is Yvett from Amazon to provide more support on your end.
I can see that you’re facing account deactivation issue and is looking to appeal in order to reinstate the selling account.
The utility bill Amazon is requesting is different from your credit card statement. You need to provide an actual utility bill from any of these services:
- piped gas
- natural gas
- electricity
- piped water
- mobile phone
- fixed-line phone
- internet service
You'll need to obtain an official utility bill directly from the utility service providers instead of credit card statement which indicate the expenses or transaction of your utility.
Here are the document requirements:
- It must contain your name and address, the service provider's name and additional information such as the date of issue and due date, service provider's address, service provider's logo, and usage details if applicable.
- Your name and address must be visible and match the name and address in Seller Central.
- It must have been issued in the last 90 days.
- It must be full page and unobstructed, including the document corners.
- It must have high definition, be clear and readable. The required information must be visible and in focus.
- It must be authentic and unaltered.
- It must not be protected by a password. You can re-upload the same document without password protection, or upload a photo of the document. For security reasons, do not reply to this email with any password.
- It must not be a screenshot.
- It must be in one of the supported languages. Supported languages include Arabic, Simplified Chinese, Dutch, English, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish, Tamil, Thai, Turkish, and Vietnamese. If the documents are not in one of the supported languages, you must submit a notarized translation into one of the supported languages along with the original document.
- It must be a PDF, JPG, PNG, or GIF file.
It would be helpful if you could provide more details or share the performance notification you received. This will allow the team to better understand the issue you're facing and provide more targeted advice.
I hope my response provides clarification to your question.
Regards,
Yvett
