Amazon updated invoice requirements? Rejecting previously approved distributor invoice

I recently received an email from Amazon that I would no longer be allowed to sell under an approved brand name as of 4/30/2025, and would need an invoice with 100 units from a distributor / manufacturer to sell.

I provided the invoice as requested for 100 units from the distributor, who I have bought from and Amazon originally approved. After uploading, the application is immediately rejected (bot) saying it did not meet the criteria, when it does meet all the criteria.

Anyone experiencing the same?

Just because it was approved before does not mean it is now. You are lucky they are giving you a heads up, a lot of sellers don't get any warning.

Hello @Seller_W3ws4uSaHS30d,

Thanks for posting to the Forums. Amazon requires approval to sell in many categories, brands, and products and in some instances restrictions and policies change. While you may have been approved in the past, as the Amazon catalog grows, we continuously make new determinations on which products should be restricted, which is based on a number of factors. Amazon does this to ensure authenticity and customer satisfaction.

For this reason, you may be required to gain approval to sell certain products. In most situations, a direct invoice from the manufacturer is required.

A letter of authorization (LOA) can also be a valuable addition to your appeal in these situations if you’re sourcing directly from the brand or their manufacturer.

You will find more details about this using the resources below:

Why not just say that a LOA from the brand was needed to begin with if Amazon isn’t going to accept the requested invoice from an authorized distributor showing 100 units? This is where the confusion is coming from. Sellers that have purchased for legit distributors are submitting what is being asked of them from Amazon only to be declined. Just state that a letter of LOA is needed and let it be done.
