Restricted Policy Violation - Problems getting the matter resolved.

Hello folks,

I got a restricted policy violation for a Sephora lipstick. Amazon flagged for possibly containing a prescription ingredient, bimatoprost or isopropyl cloprostenate. Well, I have reviewed the ingredients and of course, it does not contain this ingredient. The issue is that the tube of lipstick does not have the ingredients on it, nor does it come with a box the ingredients listed on it. I've gone round and round submitting pictures of the tube and pictures from the manufacturer's website, ingredients from the manufacturer's website, a description from the manufacturer's website. I've submitted an actual appeal which didn't really do anything, basically I just need to submit proof I am not in violation. The impact for the violation is high and I've read a lot about these violations coming back to bite you. I'm wondering if anyone has experience getting this kind of situation resolved. I could really use some help/advice. Thank you!

I would be more concerned with selling Sephora on Amazon. Do you have the proper LOA, invoices or authorization from the brand to do so?

  • The purpose or use of the product (such as cleansing the body, reducing the appearance of wrinkles, moisturizing the skin)
  • The amount of content of the cosmetic, in terms of weight, measure, count or a combination (such as 30 oz, 5 mL, 10 pills, 5 lb)
  • The ingredient list
  • The name and address of the manufacturer, packer, or distributor (this is not required on detail pages)
  • Any necessary label warnings
