MCF Order Damaged, Lost $1400 but No Compensation – Is This Fair?
Hello everyone,
I want to share an unreasonable situation I recently encountered and would appreciate any advice or suggestions from fellow sellers.
I recently used Amazon’s Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) service to ship an order, paying over $70 in shipping fees. The order amount is more than $1300 and extra $70 shipping fee, almost value $1400. Tracking number 1ZGG84590302439259. Unfortunately, the package was damaged by Amazon's carrier during transit, and the tracking status shows "Damaged by carrier", meaning the product was never delivered to the customer.
When I contacted Amazon Seller Support, I was informed that since MCF was used to fulfill an order placed on Amazon.com, I am not eligible for reimbursement. Even though Amazon’s own carrier damaged the goods, they are refusing to compensate me.
I am extremely frustrated because:
1. I paid a significant amount in shipping fees, trusting that Amazon's fulfillment service would ensure safe delivery, only to be told that no compensation would be offered when the damage happened.
2. This policy feels like sellers are expected to bear the cost of Amazon's logistics issues, which is incredibly unfair. If Amazon's logistics service fails, shouldn’t Amazon take responsibility, not the seller?
3. This situation is truly unreasonable – sellers are left to cover the cost of Amazon’s mistakes.
I’m sure I’m not the only one facing this issue, and I wanted to ask if anyone else has had a similar experience. How did you handle it? Is there any way to get a fair resolution?
I hope Amazon reconsiders this policy and starts protecting sellers fairly in cases like this.

Same happens to me as I created another listing, due to amazon technical issue.
Was fulfilling thru MCF and once order misplaced, amazon refused to compensate saying,
cannot fulfill orders from amazon, where amazon charged more than double
Amazon should take at least onus for MCF, but sorry to say, its ZERO support
