After 16 years of selling on Amazon, we’ve made the decision to shut down our business on the platform.

Why? Because our entire seller account was frozen — and our funds held — for over two months due to one false counterfeit claim from a single customer. This, despite having over 300 satisfied buyers of that exact same product and a clean selling history.

For two months, we’ve received the same generic message: “wait 5 more days for the review.” No real answers, no resolution, no accountability. Just total silence while they hold our money and grind our operations to a halt.

This has caused serious financial damage to our company. We’ve been forced to consider initiating credit card disputes just to recover our ability to operate. And again, this is after more than a decade of loyal selling and buying from Amazon.

To anyone still depending on Amazon: get off this platform before it strangles your business, too. It only takes one false accusation, one customer, and Amazon will act as judge, jury, and executioner — no matter your history or how many customers you've served well.

I feel your pain. It is a wise choice to walk away from Amazon. I am 2 years Amazon free on my product and i only use Amazon to monitor counterfeits and patent infringers.Amazon is a cess pool of fraud, it is never ending stress.

any competitor can take you out with a few simple steps and run you into bankruptcy due to their borderline illegal seller policy

The same has happened to me. With proof of purchase through and through with bank staments and the whole 9 my account has been locked. Money on hold and store is dead. Anything I can do?? Please help , mods .... anyone!?

Amazon has done the same thing to me. They froze my account 2 months ago along with all of my money for an Intellectual Property violation which I have a license agreement from the owner of the company. Since then, I have been evicted from my apartment and I'm about to lose my car as well. I was actually living in my storage unit for the past two months and now I'm in a shelter for men. Over the past 3 years I have sold more than $500,000 dollars in product from more than 15,000 invoices and 0 claims. I didn't have any reports of this violation, and Amazon authorized me to use the Brand when I applied to use it when I created my account in 2021.

I am also experiencing a similar situation where my account was deactivated for Intellectual Property Misuse. They flagged a bunch of my listings for using my product brand in my listings which they flagged as Intellectual Property violation even though I obtained the right to use the brand when I created my account in 2021. I have also obtained a direct license agreement from my Distributor that I use and the owner of the brand themselves. I even have a letter from the owner of the company which clearly states that I have a license to use the brand in my listings.

I have submitted a number of appeals over the past couple of months which are always rejected because there's not enough information. I finally resolved one of their requests which is to provide them a detailed description of how this violation occurred. That I was able to finally complete, but now they want the following information:

This is what amazon wants still:

-- Details on the actions you have taken to resolve all outstanding infringement violations in the initial notice.

-- Detailed steps you have implemented that will prevent you from repeating the same infringement violation in the future.

-- Evidence or examples that demonstrate your account is compliant with our Intellectual Property policy.

I have tried everything to answer these questions to the best of my ability, but nothing works. Amazon keeps telling me that they need more information.
