Feature Request: FBM to FBA Problem
Stop deleting FBM inventory and fulfillment times when a product is converted to FBA or shipping to FBA.
What happens: When a seller has an FBM listing and decides to send inventory for FBA there is a long gap before it is available for sale by Amazon. In the meantime, a seller has to convert from FBA back to FBM so they can continue fulfilling orders.
But in the awkward flip/flop back between FBM/FBA/FBM Amazon will delete both the seller inventory and fulfillment times, meaning a seller has to not only remember and catch this, but waste time re-editing their listing.
What would be better is if a seller could simply say they are converting to FBA but want to continue selling FBM until the FBA inventory becomes Prime eligible - and then for Amazon to automatically switch from FBM to FBA (and not have to deal with a stranded inventory issue).
Even better better would be if a seller could have their FBM inventory / fulfillment and other selling info - and just say when the product is Prime available in FBA then sell it FBA. When it is not (such as being out of FBA inventory) then sell it FBM - creating a seamless and automated process that keeps sales rolling and without wasting time re-editing listings.
Amazon can obviously track a zillion data points and could easily keep FBM data for FBA converted products, and a seamless switching between FBA/FBM seems so obvious I'm not sure why it is not being done.

Have you thought about having two offers per ASIN? One FBA and one FBM? It's totally allowed.

Please note you should have the capability of having active FBA and FBM offers in your catalog as @Seller_z3XfkorVSmnEYpointed out!
This can even be accomplished for ASINs with variations. Please take a look at the below thread where we helped a Seller inquiring about a similar situation:
How to group FBA & FBM listings under one variation family?
Feel free to reply to this thread if you have further questions!
