Ongoing issue continues with FBA receiving inaccurate units
This issue with FBA receiving quantities less than what my authorized manufacturer distributor ships directly into FCs continues and this issue only seems to be getting worse every week.
Shipment ID FBA17PWZK7BC was shipped direct to FBA from an authorized Mattel distributor. Five manufacturer sealed case packs with 3 units in each case were shipped from the distributor at a total container weight of 17.5 pounds and this container weight is on-file with UPS. But I was told 3 units are missing.
Each manufacturer sealed case pack weighs approximately 3 pounds so five cases comes out to a total weight of approximately 15 pounds. When you factor in the outer shipping container and packaging material from the distributor the total weight of 17.5 pounds that is on-file with UPS is very accurate for the quantity of 15 units sent into FBA.
If only 12 units were sent, as FBA claims, then the total weight would be approximately 3 pounds less than what was shipped. I disputed this error and submitted my authorized manufacturer distribution invoice showing 15 units, as well as showed all this math for weights and it was still denied.
The dispute system is flawed and it is handicapped in favor or Amazon every time seeing as how I'm not sure I've ever won any of these disputes. All the weights match up for 15 units sent in and the invoice supports the unit count as well, yet items from sealed manufacturer cases continue to go missing at the FC receiving dock.
I hope an admin can take a look at Case ID 14850483551 because there is no way an authorized distributor would continue to make these errors over and over again. This is always an FBA receiving issue every time as my distributor continues to confirm all quantities and weight are accurate when they ship out to FBA and these receiving errors are getting more excessive than any other time in my nearly 15 years as a seller.

Hi @Seller_Bbq8c8PRMToKQ, and thanks for providing the details. I'd be happy to escalate this on your behalf. Do you mind replying to the case with your POD as described in this post from Taylor? Once that's available we should be able to escalate for further review.
Regards,
Topher

we are having the same issues. we are in amazon since 2009, and 2023 was the worse year of missing items. Never seen this before. We take all actions as recommended by amazon but no improvement.

I'll just chime in and say I have the same issue as you. I sell a major name brand that everyone is familiar with on Amazon. I send in manufacture sealed cases that occasionally somehow come up short when being received.

What does your inventory ledger say? Check a detailed report by the FNSKU and 99.9% of the time it was received in full from the center you shipped it to, then transferred to other warehouses that lost the inventory and then tags the shipment ID to make it look like the shipment was short. However, this proves where it went missing.
I send in the inventory ledger marking where it was lost and where it was received in full at the receiving warehouse, the invoice proving what was shipped, and if not FBA provided services, proof of delivery.
Keep at the same ticket. Don't open a new one. About 20 replies (3 pages) in it will get escalated and either found or credited.
@Seller_iPdV1zeeHlfW9@Seller_ITpUtDmFbSqvfit works, we have 100% resolution rate using this method

We had what seemed to be a similar issue. The barcode label from the same part number but for a different country was affixed. The system recorded this as missing items.

Was the issue with CLT2? We have lots of issues with that location.

We have the same issue, and it is indeed getting worse and worse.
Amazon has always miscounted our units (which we are absolutely certain about the quantities that we ship because we double / triple count them), but now these "counting mistakes" (on their part) are resulting in "shipment problem" dings. We have 7 of these shipment problems that are unresolvable, because it doesn't matter what proof you provide... they reject it. Seems like they are trying to push smaller sellers out. I magine that eventually my FBA shipments will be limited / suspended. Something seriously needs to be done about this.

Unfortunately same here,
With every shipment 1-2 missing units.
It is getting worse.
