Error code 8567

Good afternoon,

I'm being given an error code that says the following:

SKU 1066537426 does not match any ASIN and contains invalid values for attributes required for creation of a new ASIN. New ASIN creation requires the following attributes, for which this SKU provided invalid attribute value(s): merchant_suggested_asin.

I have tried using 'Add a product' tool manually instead of adding a product by feeds. It appears to work, but when I move on to send inventory to Amazon, I'm still hit with another error message. 'The SKU for this product is unknown or cannot be found.' Thus, the SKU still refuses to appear in our inventory and we are unable to send a shipment to Amazon that involves the SKU.

I have gone around and around with Amazon Support without resolution. The support case ID is 15933461221.

Any insight or assistance would be greatly appreciated as I have been trying to figure this out for 2 weeks now and many messages back and forth with seller support.

I should also mention that this is the first time encountering this error in 7 years of selling on Amazon.

@Glenn_Amazon I saw you had replied to another thread on this error code that came up a month ago. Hope its OK that I tag you here.

I am taking it that you have to use a specific SKU to sync inventory, etc. However, the easiest solution is to just use a different SKU.

You could try deleting it and waiting 24 hours.

I would try (if it was me) deleting it, creating a new listing with a different SKU, and then about a week later create another FNSKU for FBA and then use the original SKU for the new FNSKU.

However, once a SKU is created Amazon says they can never be used again. Seller support says that after 24 hours they are removed and can be reused. So it is a 50/50 on if deleting it and waiting works.
