OTDR issues - SSA for Free Shipping does NOT exist???
I’m having an OTDR issue like many other sellers recently. But it's different.
I’ve already spoken to different teams, and one agent told me that SSA for free economy shipping does not exist - it’s only available for standard, two-day, and one-day delivery.
So I cannot enable SSA for my free shipping template, and consequently get penalized for late deliveries since SSA isn’t active.
Seller Support, as usual, has been unhelpful and doesn’t understand what I’m talking about.
Can a moderator escalate this to someone who might be able to help?
1. Is SSA really not available for free shipping? If yes, sellers should not be penalized for it being inactive.
2. If there is a way to enable it for free shipping specifically - how to do it?
Latest case ID 16933869941, previous case ID 16916088601 (here an agent said there's no SSA on free shipping).

To answer your question related to free shipping and automated shipping settings please note that Shipping Setting Automation (SSA) cannot be enabled for free shipping as SSA is available only for One-Day Shipping and Two-Day Shipping which are paid shipping options.
Now, why in the world are sellers being penalized for late deliveries that are out of their control, with the reason provided being, "because you haven't enabled SSA"? Anybody?

While looking over the details for greater understanding of your situation I was able to review one order.
I did review the ODTR report as of today (1/3/25) and see just one order. I could see the Promised ship date was 12/10/25 at 8am PST but the Carrier first scan date was 12/10/25 at 1:35 PST.
I'm thinking you have 1 day shipping selected, correct? What I see in this specific order, the Carrier first scan date and time should be prior to the Promised ship date and time. This may have been the reason this was on the ODTR report.
I have reached out to the internal team to review and verify if this is the case. My goal would be for you to have the correct information to be able to adjust your shipping settings according to what would actually correct the issue.
I believe you should be receiving the correct direction per each order.

Seller Support is officially a joke.
Their latest reply - I'll just leave it here:
As previously informed, we have investigated the order and found it was fulfilled with a Shipping option "Free Economy" where SSA does not have Transit Time managed by Amazon.
Please note, you need to use all three of Amazon’s automated promise and order fulfillment tools that include Automated Handling Time (AHT), Shipping Settings Automation (SSA), and purchase an “OTDR Protected” shipping label through Amazon Buy Shipping to ship a package, then the OTDR metric will not be impacted by late deliveries.
They confirm SSA does not work for Free Shipping, and at the same time they require us to enable it. What a nonsense.
