I am unable to send even a single unit of a particular hazmat ASIN to FC, while I can send hundreds of other (same size and dimension) hazmat items without issues.

There are no pending shipments containing this ASIN.

Error message I encounter: "No fulfillment centers are currently available to receive the total quantity of dangerous goods units in this shipment."

Has anyone experienced a similar issue or can provide any advice on how to resolve this?

This is something that I've seen pop up in the past. It may be a temporary issue, but I recommend first opening a case with Seller Support to document the issue. Have you done so already?
