Amazon FBA Refuses to Pay for Damaged Returns

hello everyone

Some of my orders shipped from Amazon FBA have been returned and Amazon informed me that they will not pay for damaged orders and that I have to remove the damaged item from FBA.

Amazon FBA is very reliable and I expected that if anything happens to the products, that is, if the products are damaged for any reason, Amazon will cover this loss, but I was wrong.

Either the customer, Amazon FBA staff, or the courier damaged my intact and boxed items, and I am currently receiving a warning that I must withdraw my returned items that are unsellable.

Does this happen to everyone?

Or am I the only unfortunate seller?

Here are Amazon's FBA reimbursement policies for you to review:

FBA inventory reimbursement policy: Customer return claims

  • Amazon does not accept responsibility and will not reimburse you for returned items that are damaged by a customer, are subject to recall, are defective or in violation of Amazon policies, or for other similar reasons. Items that fall into these categories are added to your unfulfillable inventory when they are returned.
  • Per our returns policy, there are no reimbursements for refunded items that cannot be returned by customers, unless it is for a reason for which we take responsibility.

FBA inventory reimbursement policy

  • If an item you send to us as part of the Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) service is lost or damaged at a facility or by a carrier operated by Amazon or on behalf of Amazon, we will replace that item with a new item of the same FNSKU or we will reimburse you for it.

As @Medic wrote, the FBA reimbursement policy applies only "if an item you send to us as part of the Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) service is lost or damaged at a facility or by a carrier operated by Amazon or on behalf of Amazon."
