Amazon Charges me $1400 to return items I set as Disposal

From my case log:

I’m writing to address a serious issue regarding the balance you claim is due on my deactivated seller account. To be clear, my account has been inactive for some time now, and before deactivation, I specifically arranged for all inventory to be destroyed, not returned.

I find it unacceptable that I’m being billed for a balance on an account that has had no activity since its deactivation. This appears to be a clear oversight on Amazon’s part. I demand an immediate review of my account and expect this matter to be resolved without any further unnecessary charges or delays.

Please correct this error and confirm that there are no outstanding balances on my account. I expect a prompt response and resolution.

Not only did Amazon not respond on multiple occasions, they have since tried to charge every charge method Ive ever had on Amazon to get this money. I now have spoke with my lawyers and will be fighting this till the end. Ive been fighting Amazon for the 2 years Ive had FBA for and this platform is the WORST place for people trying to sell things online. I could name ANY OTHER platform and they all would be better for a seller. Look at my past posts to see how bad things have been with Amazon since starting.

Not only did they not listen to my Disposal request and settings, they sent back around 800-1000 books ONE BY ONE. I would get a massive box packed with paper and 1 book, this is how Amazon gets their money by cutting profits, raising fees, increased shipping, and things like this which make this platform so bad. If I could give a new seller on this platform some advice, NEVER use FBA unless you know 100% you can make it work and check out other places to sell that dont treat Sellers (where Amazon makes most of its money from btw) this poorly.

Lastly, Amazon. My lawyers will be in contact

You are not talking to Amazon here, this is the seller forum. To contact seller support you have to create a case under "Help" in seller central.

Just know that these charges probably include storage fees till the removal. And there are fees for removal AND disposal. Unfortunately nothing is free when selling on Amazon....

Did you create a removal order choosing "Disposal"? That's the only way the system would have sceduled the disposal.

Yes, removal orders come back in bits and pieces.

But the critical factor is that, as far as the cost to you, it doesn't matter. The fees are the same whether you have the product returned to you, or have it disposed.

If all you are looking at are disposal fees (which, again, are the same as removal fees), then that is a fee that you agreed to pay in the ToS.
