Approved but declined, weird case
I applied to sell a brand and uploaded invoice. I got a reply that now I am approved to list and sell that brand.
But on the case ID, it is being shown as "declined". When I try to list the product it takes me to the request approval screen again where I have to start the process all over again.
I replied to the case and explaining the situation and again got the same reply that I am approved to sell this brand. Still the case is being shown as declined.
Does anybody face this situation before, Please help.

Amazon may have approved you, but the brand itself may have denied your request to sell.

In my experience, it usually takes up to an hour for the approval to get set on the site so that I can actually list.
The whole approval to list thing is a near total waste of time in my opinion-as I am selling almost 100% Vintage Vinyl. No such approval should ever be necessary.
It only is because amazon keeps changing the listing pages-trashing and mashing them into something else-particularly for the New Vinyl that they are now selling.
They put their new product up, taking precedence-and changing the headers, Ed Review, and, all too often, posting the wrong photos-like of an import CD or something else (even completely different albums by totally different, unrelated artists). Yet another train wreck countless times a day!
Amazon also moves existing vinyl listings-like to Audio CD or Cassette sales boxes. Creating full scale havoc.
Or, most often of all, makes them 'Search Suppressed' when they remove the previously existing photos. Or just deletes the listing pages entirely-again, with no notice.
There are now well over 1 million busted, mashed, usually flat out wrong Vinyl listing pages active on this site.
No notice is ever given to any seller of any of these changes.
And amazon-especially so called Seller Support-refuse to help fix any such broken page, no matter what. They will not refer reports of same to the Listing, Catalog or Captive Site teams-even though those teams have all requested such reports. And the members of those teams are the only amazon employees that know how to fix those busted listing pages.
In short, a near disaster. Congratulations, amazon! But there's no prize for any fo that.
What I'm left wondering is this: why not just change the name of the site to: Bots Gone Wild?

How long did you wait? Normally it shows an approval will take up to ___ hours. Maybe a lag in the system?

that is how Amazon due diligence works. You didn't know that?

Wait two days and try to add it. This has worked for me with books.

Thanks for the post. Looks like you received lots of golden nuggets of advice from the other Sellers on this post.
Glad to hear that Amazon approved your case. Checking in to see if you need anything from me. If so, please share the case id that you opened with Seller Support.
Thanks in advance

Go to the 3 bars in the upper left next to Amazon Seller Central highlight Catalog link then View selling applications. Find the item if it is approved then click on list items, I've had to do this for a few things I sell.
