Signature means nothing unless you are seeking reimbursement through a Safe T claim.
Was this an A to Z claim? If so, you have to have had purchased 'claims protected' shipping through Amazon and get an acceptance scan by the carrier on or before the ship-by date.
If you did these things, you should be appealing the A to Z claim.
If the customer called in and got a reimbursement without an A to Z claim, then the signature would hold water for a reimbursement claim via the Safe-T claim policy.

should hold water, but Amazon Support is famously inconsistent in their findings. Good luck!

Unfortunately signature confirmation means nothing to Amazon, unless you purchased the label through the "Buy Shipping" page here on the platform and got a carrier acceptance scan by the "ship by" date.

Your ONLY recourse is to contact authorities and then contact the scammer, informing them that the FEDERAL authorities may need to ask them personally why they signed for a package they didn't get from a delivery person who remembers getting the signature from them.

Signature confirmation is hit or miss for A-Z claims. More of a miss though these days.

Hi @Seller_n563jG9LzmCkn,
Thank you for posting here at the Seller Forums!
Have you submitted a claim ? If so, please share the Claim Id.

It's called MONOPOLY. Amazon is trying to force you to user their service by buying shipping through them.
Plus, their customer/scammer is happy with his free item from Amazon. By the way, Amazon still makes money from this transaction . They will not refund you the fees for the lost item.

WHY DOES AMAZON KEEP DOING THIS!!!!
It's simple, they do it because it's not their money, because it doesn't cost them anything to lose what's not Amazon's

Unless you have a ridiculous amount of profit in that item and sell some decent quantity without defects, you might want to seriously reconsider selling an item that high value on Amazon.
