Inform Act - Round 2 - here we go again
Just received a notice that we have to provide (AGAIN) documentation for the Inform Act.
NO other platform has sent this notice - and last year when when it was "required" it was a simple 1 question to be answered from every platform EXCEPT Amazon. That was also when the "buy-box" became all screwed up, many lost sales and revenue and Amazon NEVER corrected it (deliberate?).
Now Amazon tells you once you start the process (don't know what that is and you cannot find out until you do start it) if you do not complete it within 10-days your account will be deactivated.
Here is the entire notice:
We are committed to a trustworthy shopping experience for both you and customers. To uphold this standard, we will collect and verify certain business information from you at least annually, including information required by the US INFORM Consumers Act.
Starting in April 2024, we will begin sending sellers a formal notification to review and certify that their business information is correct. However, you do not need to wait to receive the formal notification, and can take action now to avoid the risk of account deactivation later.
We recommend that you visit your Account health page and click on “Review Your Account Information” under the Priority Actions section to review today and, if necessary, update your business information.
If your information is up to date, or if you have just updated it, proceed to the next step – the Notice and Certification page – to complete your certification. Once you view this notice, the law requires you to certify your information within 10 days.
It only takes a few minutes to certify so you can take action today.
Although you will need to certify that your information is up-to-date at least annually, you should keep your business information current at all times, and you can update your information anytime by visiting your Account Information page in Seller Central.
For answers to frequently asked questions, visit the About the INFORM Consumers Act page. To contact an Account Health Specialist, go to your Account health page and click ‘Contact Us.’

That just sys we have to certify the existing info is correct, unless it's been changed.

Hello @Seller_24FzucbyGtgZS
Thank you for the information provided regarding the messaging you received. To clarify, the messaging is to let you know that our team will be requiring the annual review of the details associated with the Inform Act. This will be taking effect in April, but you are able to complete the certification as of now.
To do this, you will navigate towards the account health page where there should be a banner that allows you to review your account information. When reviewing, if there are any changes needed, you will have the option to go and make the needed edits. This will require providing documents or acting to verify the new information. Otherwise, you should be able to confirm the information and submit the certification.
Once completed, the account health page should reflect to show the information has been verified. If you have any additional questions or updates to share about this situation, please continue to refer to this thread.
Best,
Atlas
