X bought in the Last Month - Handmade seller nightmare

Greetings Handmade . . .

I have commented on this in a few threads but I have not seen any response.

Is Handmade communicating with Amazon regarding the unfair nature of this "X Bought in the Last Month" feature that Amazon is displaying in search.

Handmade shops offer creative options to customers. Recently another seller has started selling my unique size. The mass market production is offered way cheaper than I can possibly offer it and now, next to my items in search, it says they sold "600 in the last month." I can look at search myself and feel the EXTREME pressure to purchase the item "everyone is buying". This is not right and is unfair.

My sales are declining in the last couple months, and I believe this is may be part of the problem. I have worked really hard to build up my shop, and if this continues and my other sizes are copied, my business may not be able to survive. Please communicate and defend Handmade sellers.

From your store name it looks like you sew. I also sew and understand how hard you must work at making your items to sell. I feel your frustration at having to compete with the mass -marketed producers.

I have no suggestions other than telling you that keep on trying if you enjoy selling online. If you haven't already branched out to other sites, you may wish to look into seeing what is out there. There are some good sites for handmade items in addition to Amazon Handmade. I am always trying out new sites to see if I can find a good fit for my items to sell online. I currently sell in several places including local farmer's markets and craft shows. I meet a lot of nice people in my area and they become repeat customers.

If the other Seller that you are referring to is an Handmade Seller, I would recommend that you report the Seller by sending an email to artisan-review@amazon.com. Emails sent to this team are completely private and confidential, results will never be shared.

Also please note that we have a investigation team that is dedicated to reviewing the Handmade catalog and searching for these types of issues.
