So how does a seller avoid a negative affect on their cancellation rate metrics, when the buyer has no address?
- I cannot cancel the order, this means a negative affect on seller cancellation rate metrics
- I cannot send to the buyer as their is no address
- I cannot wait for the buyer to reply any more than 24 hours with an updated address, (otherwise missing Amazon send by date) this means a negative affect on cancellation rate metrics
- I cannot change the buyer address anyway even if they did reply, as Amazon states changing a buyers address is fraud.
There does not seem to be any way a seller is not held responsible, when a buyer has no address to send to?
The response from Amazon has been very poor on this, it is surprizes how such a large professional business, does not seem to understand that on occasion a buyer can input their address incorrectly, and this is not the sellers fault, a seller does not control the buyers address they live at or use.
My account is currently showing a suspension notice, due to 1x cancellation where as mentioned above the buyer had no send to address.
The buyer was messaged straight away, but failed to reply at all, hence the 24 hour delivery send date rolled around and I had to cancel the order.
I used the reason "buyer address undeliverable" however this is obviously a trap as Amazon immediately marked a negative affect on my seller cancellation rate metrics, leading to the suspension warning on the entire account.
Amazon customer support says, a buyer address being wrong, is the responsibility of the seller to fix.
Honestly, Amazon is becoming near impossible to sell on.
The customer service just copy and pastes generic reply's or you just get an AI bot.
No real help at all, it is really sad!
