obtaining a JAN number

I am just starting my first store on Amazon Japan.

I am looking at selling coffee products like coffe roasters and coffee grinders and using the Amazon

I have found a few suppliers from Alibaba that I would like to deal with but none of them seem to able to provide valid GTIN numbers.

I have been watching many of the videos and amazon sellers university but still finding the process a little confusing.

But none of the suppliers seem to be able to provide valid GTIN numbers.

I am correct in assuming that the steps I need to do is to apply for and create a JAN number specific to the product I'm selling in Japan and then enter that into into Amazon's Add a new product feature on the js1jp website.

2. Then attach the JAN numbers to to box

3. Then go to Amazons inventory tab and click add inventory the print the labels that amazon provides and ship to the amazon FBA warehouse.

Have I understood the process correctly ?

I would recommend that you conduct further research into product requirements on Amazon before you continue. There can be a number of requirements that need to be met before you can sell products on Amazon, and this includes electrical products. This help page has more information Electrical Appliances and Electronic Devices. There is a help page that has additional links and videos for you to review: Products requiring approval.
