a gap between the estimated delivery date shown to buyers and the actual deliver-by date?

I’m facing a frustrating issue that’s starting to impact my sales.

When I check my own listings as a customer, Amazon is showing very late estimated delivery dates — sometimes up to the end of April, even though I’m shipping within 1 business day.

The actual “Deliver By” date in Seller Central is MUCH SOONER and I always meet that. But customers are being shown a much later date — which I believe is causing them to hesitate or not purchase at all.

Why is there such a gap between the estimated delivery date shown to buyers and the actual deliver-by date?

Hello @Seller_JwUhses8WIuuj

Promise extensions can be added to delivery dates to account for a range of logistical factors that may delay delivery. These include extreme weather, transportation network constraints, or recent history of a seller delivering shipments after their set delivery date.

When a promise extension is added, the customer sees a later date than the “Deliver by” date that you see. When there is no promise extension, the estimated delivery date that customers see is the same as the “Delivery by” date that you see.
