refunds to customer

How do I cancel a refund? The customer said she never received the package, but later on she did. I can't figure out how to cancel the refund.

You can't cancel a refund. The buyer has to tell Amazon to re-charge her for it (which doesn't always seem to work).

You have about 30 minutes to cancel a refund once it is issued. You will see a "Cancel Refund" button (or similar) on the actual order page during the period you can cancel it. After that, there is no way without the buyer helping by asking Amazon to perform "Retro Recharge" which from what I hear is sometimes difficult to get Amazon to do even with the buyer helping.

While I know that this specific order has already passed, I did want to provide some additional information in case this happens again in the future.

When you manually generate a refund, it will stay in Pending status for up to two hours, in this time you should be able to cancel the refund.

To cancel the refund, please perform the following steps:

  • From the Orders menu in Seller Central, click Manage Orders.
  • On the Manage Orders page, click the order ID for which you have issued a refund.
  • On the Order details page, click Cancel refunds.

Please note that refunds issued through feeds cannot be canceled and will be processed immediately.
