Sales held up pending for over 2 weeks
I am a new seller and started my account about a month ago. I had a hot selling product (2 similar sku's) and now almost 2 weeks later only 1 of those shipments have been completed and the other 9 orders are sitting in "waiting payment verification" status. The oldest one almost 17 days. Is this normal and if not, what can I do about it? I would understand if it were just a couple but 9 out of a possible 10 of the same product in the same status and in the same time frame seems suspicious.

Pending order can remain up to 21 days. The buyer has three attempts to fix their payment method and after the third attempt of 7 days, they should fall off and be automatically cancelled. It could be a competitor holding up your inventory.

Hi @Seller_rCnTkfjfr76vC
Here are some steps you can take:
Check your Seller Central account: Ensure there are no alerts or notifications regarding your account or products that might be causing this delay.
Contact Seller Support: This should be your next immediate step. They can provide specific information about why these orders are being held and what, if anything, you need to do to resolve the issue.
Review your product listings: Make sure there are no discrepancies or issues with your product information that might be triggering additional verification.
Verify your account information: Ensure all your seller account details are up-to-date and accurate.
Be patient: While it's frustrating, don't take any action on these orders until Amazon completes their verification process or provides further instructions.
It's possible that Amazon's system has flagged these transactions for additional review due to the sudden increase in sales for a new seller account. This could be a fraud prevention measure, especially if the orders seem unusual in any way.
Remember, as a seller, you should never ship items for orders in a pending status, even if a buyer contacts you directly. Always wait for the order status to change to "Unshipped" before taking any action.

This is the only platform where such a ridiculous thing can happen. It drives us crazy, competitors do this to us all the time and Amazon can care less. No other marketplace does this, either the transaction goes through or it does not. There are dozens of posts on this throughout the years and there has never been a straight answer as to why Amazon does this.
Transactions with card processors either go through instantaneously or not at all, it does not linger or get stuck in limbo yet Amazon has a found a way to once again screw the seller. We are not a high volume seller so when you have a hand full of orders stuck in pending for a week it definitely hurts the bottom line. We have had competitors knock out inventory for weeks on end, if we cancel we get hit and lose Buy Box. Absolutely terrible place to sell which is why we have been making the move out of here and focusing on our other sales channels.

Great Value Brand is owned by Walmart!
Typology is a direct-to-consumer brand, not sold at any other retailer in the US (Sephora, Amazon, Ulta, Walmart, Credo, Target, or department stores).
What do I do if I see a Typology product available at Amazon or Sephora?
"This is not a product that is certifiably produced by Typology; it could be fake or counterfeit, and we cannot guarantee its safety or quality. "
Retail arbitrage is no longer tolerated on Amazon, though they are slow to catch up, they appear to double check new sellers. Pretty sure Walmart wont take it sitting down.'If I am right, you will need to verify your sources and should have a notification.

Yeah, this happens all the time at Amazon, and ties up inventory and capital unnecessarily. Thank you very much Amazon.
If payment does not clear within 48 hours, kindly cancel the order. Thank again Amazon.
