Inventory lost during warehouse transfer
@TaylorR_Amazon
Per your reply asking to start a new discussion for my issue with lost inventory:
What is the recourse when Amazon loses our inventory between FC transfers? We sent all the proof they asked for including the Inventory Report that says they received the inventory at MDW4 and was lost in transit to JAX2. Now they are trying to tell me that they have no record of ever receiving the items. Can you please look into this? Case ID14057232731
I also have another case regarding lost inventory14138654931. A shipment that was sent to DAL2 was closed without them checking in my inventory. According to the FC, I sent an empty box. As you can see with all the other threads on the forum, sending inventory to Amazon's warehouses has become a major problem.

I'm guessing that you are seeing a negative receipt on the Inventory Ledger report, correct?

Hi @Seller_4qkDNEtr9M8A5,
Dominic with Amazon here, happy to help. Thank you for providing me with the case ID. I will escalate this internally.
Best,
Dominic

Same here. They are losing more than ever lately, and I have been doing FBA almost since the beginning. I have never experienced this amount of loss, and now Amazon is lying about receiving our inventory. Amazon has been such an awesome company to partner with for years, but they are becoming corrupt. And that is because of the way they handle all the losses...they LIE. They have not always done this. SO much for being the trusted partner they have always claimed to be. UGH.

I believe I'm running into similar. I had 28 units that were reserved for a FC transfer, but are now otherwise unaccounted for. Something appears to be happening (or not) between FC relocation.

In the beginning of Sept, I sent in (2) of one SKU. So far, Amazon has said that they received 5,871 of this SKU and that number goes up daily. I still can't do a discrepancy report yet. It's insane.

This is what they do this time of year. They lose all of your stuff, then claim they didnt receive it, which shouldnt even matter since youre using an amazon partnered carrier and quaify for reimbursement.
Seller support will be worthless and useless as usual. They'll escalate to an internal team, which is more clueless than they are, and will give you a similar response. You'll get somewhere with the executive team after exhausting all other avenues

I've had them lose a shipment or two before. It can take several weeks, but eventually, they end up reimbursing. They actually just reimbursed me for 150 units that somehow went missing. They were shipped in boxes of 100 units, so idk how half the box gets checked in and the other half goes missing but wudduyagunnado?

I am so glad you posted this. It is a HUGE problem and a back and fourth with agents that just send me generic responses with no actual help. I get the "inventory has been counted twice" story, well, yeah, and the problem is it was counted correctly the first time and obviously lost during transfer. I'm currently looking at 2 different shipments with the same problem, and this has happened before as well. So frustrating that it was obviously lost during transfer or stolen by an employee and I just keep getting the run around about it. Over $100 of cost in products that I'm currently trying to get reimbursed for and getting no where.

It would be great if Amazon would offer FBA inventory pickup from sellers. I realize this won't work for all sellers because some of them ship directly from manufacturers/distribution to Amazon FBA, but I think for most sellers this would work.
Imagine:
Amazon truck (same grey/blueish delivery truck that roams our neighborhoods) comes in to your place of business. Amazon truck driver scans all the items, manifest list, etc., gives you either a print out or sends us an immediate email/notification that FBA Shipment was pick up In-Full, and drives away with the goods. This FBA problem with "not received in full" will go away instantly. And Amazon gets to keep the money for shipping that otherwise would go to the UPS/FedEx.
What do you think, Amazon?

We had to hire a 3rd party to help us stay on top of it. There are a couple of good ones out there.
