Seeking Advice: Requesting Tracking Number for a Return Due to Missing Package
Hello there,
I hope this message finds you well. I recently encountered a situation with a customer return and I'm seeking some advice on the best course of action.
Here's the scenario: A customer initiated a return for a product, which was shipped in two separate boxes. However, only one of the boxes has been received so far. To ensure a smooth return process and investigate the missing package, I'm considering reaching out to the customer to kindly ask for the tracking number of the return shipment.
My intention is to provide excellent customer service and address any concerns they might have. However, I want to make sure I'm following Amazon's policies and etiquette correctly. Is it appropriate to contact the customer and request the tracking number for the return package in this situation?
I greatly value your insights and experience, and I'm open to any suggestions you may have.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.

If the return was done through Amazon and not 'off books' Amazon would have provided the labels and the tracking numbers will be in the return details. Click on 'more information' to find them.
