Fake reviews, chinese sellers

At this point its impossible to compete with Chinese sellers, i googled around and they pay crazy fees to people to damage other people businesses.

ive myself received this one star review, we are selling strong magnet vent covers and as soon we started little bit ranking they left 1 star review , in broken English " 1.0 out of 5 stars Test the vent to see if it will hold a magnet"

Test it his vent to see if his vent to hold a magnet) well buddy if its Metal it will hold a magnet! total nonsese!

Seems like due Chinese sellers they are ruining amazon so no business for other people who do not do blackhat stuff to rank

is there any point to start selling in niche where are many chinese sellers? as none of them play fair, its ridiculous what they do on facebook groups looking for reviews i checked some of the ASINs they ask reviews for on facebook and they have thousands reviews all positive haha and warning next to listing this product is returned alot, and all of the reviews are positive

A Chinese seller in my category has done a Vine program in the US with the same product as mine. However, for some reason, all the Vine reviews have gone to Chinese buyers, and all reviews are written in Chinese with 5-star ratings. How are they able to do this in the US through Amazon Vine? How are all the Vine reviews being written in Chinese and going to a Chinese seller? Can we report this issue? And where?

I am dealing with a similar situation. I have been selling a supplement for years on Amazon with many many repeat buyers who are on the subscribe and save plan. BUT it takes only one disgruntled person to claim that the product is fake and Amazon promptly pulls it off their platform and now I must prove a negative. That the product is not fake. This happens with more and more regularity and Amazon does nothing to protect its sellers from this. A competitor can literally destroy one's business within mere months. By the looks of it is Amazon very eager to help them.

They switch listing as well, if you look at carefully reviews and product doesnt match. That;s what Chinese sells do here, Sneakys

Sadly yes I come with the same conclusion as you. I am selling really good product and made sure that everything is unique and good quality (I ordered so much samples to be sure). But still, as you said, once I started ranking and got some 4 and 5 stars reviews from Vine, I am getting some suspicious business account buyings and soon after that 1 star rating without review !

I really hope Amazon take that onto consideration because its even starting to damage the client experience because of that fake 5 stars reviews on the Chinese asin everyone feels scammed by Amazon. And we as sellers who want to bring better quality and unique products and try to stay in line with amazon policies we can't compete anymore.

I could put a few examples here to show you but I guess Amazon doesn't allow it, a product got more than 70+ reviews in the first month is a crazy . All the comments are ai generated, they all look alike. Amazon needs to be extra careful with Chinese sellers because an unfair competition environment has been created.

Consider this: China has 1.43 billion people, while the USA has 342 million. As a global company like Amazon, who would you choose as your core customer or third-party seller? It's clear why Amazon allows them to operate freely at our expense.

yep, theyre stealing my pictures, selling non-matching merch on listings, harvesting positive reviews from dead listing pages (how do they find them? Hmmmmm....) via variations abuse....no punishment ever as far as I can see.

this crowd is running rings around Amazon.

However at least in the jewelry space- they are profitable for Amazon selling fake gold as real, and spending bunches on PPC.- highly profitble scheme for the sellers and Amazon

Perhaps thats why Amazon continues to allow the fake reviews, and other schemes?

  • Fake reviews for competitors
  • Fake reviews for themselves
  • Drive up the cost of PPC- very profitable for Amazon
  • Fake products
