8040 error code

Hello,

I am writing to address an issue I've been experiencing while attempting to create variations on Amazon's platform. Whenever I try to create a variation, I consistently encounter an error with code 8040.

I have already contacted Amazon support regarding this matter, and initially, they assured me that everything was fine. They mentioned that the issue would be resolved within 24 hours, allowing me to proceed with creating the variations. However, even after the specified time frame had passed, the problem persisted.

Subsequently, Amazon informed me that my variation relationship cannot be approved as it does not comply with Amazon's listing policy. I am unsure of what exactly I am doing wrong or where to look for the error. Could you please provide me with guidance on how to rectify this situation and clarify any misunderstandings regarding the listing policy?

Make sure the Brand name is an exact match under both the parent and child listings; any slight variation would cause an error.

If you had previously listed the Brand as Generic and are now trying to switch to a Brand name, that would also cause the error. Generic can not be changed to a Brand after creation.

At first I opened the case and they told me I was allowed to create variants for my brand. After 24 hours of receiving response, I tried uploading the form over and over again, but it still shows error 8040.

Then I went back and opened the case and now they told I'm not allowed to release variants for my brand, what should I do, can't find the solution at all. I need help please!!!

Despite the review and the variation relationship for the my brand is approval, I am still unable to successfully merge the variations.

I have waited for over 24 hours as advised, but the changes have not been reflected in my account, preventing me from completing the necessary variation creation. I have tried various methods, including the preferred approach, but have been unsuccessful in my attempts.

I need help please!!!

I opened a number of cases and called the relevant teams, but they all said they could not approve my variant relationship and replied that they could not tell me the exact problem due to confidentiality reasons, making it impossible for me to make changes.
