Amazon FBA, Received Empty Return Package, Need help please.
Hello, I am new to selling on Amazon (FBA), started about 3 months now, I had a few returns that were broken, missing parts...etc but I didn't bother with it because they were worth $10 or so. a few weeks ago, a buyer bought a $130 item, he/She received it, then requested a return the next day (REASON: Product is not as described on website). Amazon received the return (Disposition: Customer Damaged) then sent the package back to me and I guess you know what happened next, I received an empty package, no item inside.
I opened a case, explained what happened, sent a few pictures of the empty package, (I think I lost the packing slip, unfortunately).
And this was the reply I received:
Customer-damaged Return Units: 1
Please be informed that the original item ......... from order ... was returned and identified to be in customer-damaged condition. The unit has been returned to your account in accordance with the FBA customer returns policy and is not in sellable condition. No reimbursement will be processed.
Is there anything I can do to get reimbursed the lost amount or at least some of it? I have no idea how to deal with this and I am sure it will happen again.

What you see happens every day to sellers. Using FBA, you agreed to let Amazon handle everything for you any way they see fit.
Most likely, your ite was placed on a of a pallet of returns for disposal. Because of the higher value the item could have even been placed on the outside so Amazon could get more for the pallet.
Your case has already been resolved, so there is not much left to do. Selling FBM, Sellers are still scammed returns, buy they have options to do something about it.
