Cancelled orders in fba but items not returned to my inventory
discussion.ive had about 10 cancelled orders and of such ive noticed multiple if not all of them are not returned to my inventory. For example a pair of shorts I only had one pair left the buyer cancelled their order yet my inventory still says out of stock. 2 weeks ago a makeup bag was pending then cancelled and its still not back in my inventory. Why is it not automatically going back into my inventory if the order is cancelled?

i've had this happen several times in the past ... another convenient way for amazon to 'lose' your inventory
hopefully a mod while pay attention here ...
either way, i would contact seller support, but only during business hours for where you live ...
don't forget that you can use the chat function which might work better than email ...
which ever method you choose, you have the right to demand that your case be escalated ...
good luck

This is something that's been going on for years. I remember back in like 2005 or so when The Davinci Code was big and this was a thing. having copies of it in my inventory, like, "What are these still doing here? Why is no one buying them?" cause they're not in my inventory because of cancellations. I have it happen once in a while too today. though it's not 100% consistent.
Until you brought up this post though, it never occurred to me how this would effect those with FBA rather than FBM. I've never trusted amazon with my stuff and based on posts here, I'm glad I was skeptical.

We have noticed the same thing. Amazon's platform, is full of glitches. The incompetence at Amazon is truly embarrassing, and costs us 3PL sellers in tied-up and "lost" inventory.
Amazon UI engineers are a bunch of immature kids with no proper oversight. A total failure on all levels.

I have noticed this on at least 50 orders in the last 6 months. It is a shame that Seller Support will not chime in to answer or discuss this issue. But as was stated, they do not care about the sellers and only the profits they get. The other issue is their return policy, giving loopholes to customer, to choose certain returns where the get full refunds (FBA or FBM) without having to return the products. Again, Seller Support does not answer or respond to these queries. People will state to FBM all your items, but those are affected as well. Shame...

Greetings @Seller_CYMYI2kV3NkGP,
I wanted to reach out to see if you had any updates on these units, have they been returned to your inventory since the time you originally posted this?
