Selling GAS related Products in Amazon.co.jp

In Amazon.co.jp, all GAS related Products must meet product safety standards, including:

• The documents that prove your product was tested according to the Product Safety standards by a laboratory.

Amazon may request Gas related Products safety documentation at any time to confirm compliance.

Who should submit documents?

If you are contacted by Amazon, you must provide documents to confirm the safety of your products. Amazon requires certain documentation that indicates testing compliance with applicable standards or regulations for each product you are applying to sell.

How do I request approval to sell GAS related Products?

Amazon’s policies require that GAS related Products sold through the Amazon website meet specified certification standards. If you are contacted by Amazon, please submit the following information to jp-gas-safety@amazon.co.jp and obtain approval:

1. Company name
2. Merchant Token
3. Email address
4. Phone number
5. A list of ASINs with Name of Business for Manufacturing (or Importing) and Name of manufacturer(s) you are applying to sell
6. Documents per ASINs (please include the ASIN in the file name of the documents). Test reports from a testing laboratory confirming each product was tested to the requirements listed below:

Act on the Securing of Safety and the Optimization of Transaction of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (PSLPG)

1. Copy of Notification of Business for Manufacturing (or Importing) liquefied petroleum gas appliance (the copy must have a receipt stamp from METI, and the Table of Classification must be included in the copy)
2. Photograph of label that contains a PSLPG mark (PSLPG mark, name of Notifier, name of registered conformity assessment bodies and date of manufacture/name of the container to be used/notes on use etc. must be legibly shown)
3. Certificate of Compliance (the document must be issued by one of registered conformity assessment bodies and confirmed Model No. of rated label.)
4. Proof of METI’s approval if there is a difference between the name of Notifier in labels and the one in Notification of Business
5. Voluntary inspection records

Gas Business Act (PSTG)

1. Copy of Notification of Business for Manufacturing (or Importing) liquefied petroleum gas appliance (the copy must have a receipt stamp from METI, and the Table of Classification must be included in the copy)
2. Photograph of label that contains a PSTG mark (PSTG mark, name of Notifier, name of registered conformity assessment bodies and date of manufacture/name of the container to be used/notes on use etc. must be legibly shown)
3. Certificate of Compliance (the document must be issued by one of registered conformity assessment bodies and confirmed Model No. of rated label.)
4. Proof of METI’s approval if there is a difference between the name of Notifier in labels and the one in Notification of Business
5. Voluntary inspection records

Please provide the documents per ASINs (please include the ASIN in the file name of the documents).
