A padded crib bumper is a fabric pad that lines the interior perimeter of a crib, intended to prevent a baby’s head and limbs from bumping into, or being stuck between the slats.

All padded crib bumpers are prohibited on Amazon. There are reported safety incidents and risks included slat entrapments of arms and legs, using the crib bumper to climb out or fall out of the crib, entrapment under or between the crib bumper and the side of the crib, near-strangulation or entanglements involving the ties or threading on crib bumpers, and choking or ingestion of small parts (decorations or ties from the crib bumpers). The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), CPSC and Health Canada have advised against the use of padded crib bumpers.
