We apply all promotional discounts to the original order subtotal, regardless of how many sub-orders the original order is split into.
For example, if a buyer receives both a 5% discount and a 15% discount on a 10,000 JPY order subtotal, we calculate the total discount as follows:
Order subtotal | Discount type | Discount total | Subtotal | |
---|---|---|---|---|
10,000 JPY | Discount 1 | 5% off | 500 JPY | |
Discount 2 | 15% off | 1,500 JPY | ||
2,000 JPY | 8,000 JPY |
Buyers may want to split their orders into sub-orders, or their orders might get split into multiple shipments by Amazon at checkout. In these cases, we still look at the original order subtotal and apply the promotion over this amount.
There are combinability rules that affect how promotions with claim codes are applied. For more information, see Claim Codes and Combinability.
