Performance issue 3: High Pre-fulfillment Cancel Rate

You will receive notification by email from the Seller Performance team when your Pre-fulfillment Cancellation Rate becomes too high. They may include notices of an account block or suspension, or a request to take actions to improve your performance. See the list below for most common reasons and take necessary measures as needed.

Items are out of stock because your inventory is shared among other sales channels. Consider the following for effective inventory management:
  • Get support from a solution provider for real-time inventory control.
  • Calculate the available stock counts based on the sales history on Amazon as well as other sales channels.
*Maintaining accurate inventory level is vital when you sell through multiple sales channels.

Update the information in bulk: Price and Quantity Updates

Your supplier has ran out of the item when you placed an order for your customer. Consider using a software or solution provider to manage your inventory effectively.

Out of stock due to media exposure. A large number (i.e.9999) you entered as available stock enabled an acceptance of large quantity of order. Enter stock counts that are actually available for purchase, as using a false number will lead to mass order cancellation. Also consider the following to avoid pre-fulfillment cancellation.
  • Balance your inventory levels among your sales channels.
  • Calculate the available inventory counts based on the sales history on Amazon.

Update the information in bulk: Price and Quantity Updates

You forgot to change your listings status before going on a vacation. Before taking days off for holidays or other personal reasons, be sure to change your Listing Status, adjust the Lead time to ship, and post a notification for your customers. Listing status for vacations
You did not specify the maximum quantity allowed per order. Use max order quantity field in the inventory file to set the maximum quantity allowed per order. However, note that our system cannot control the number of orders placed by the same buyer for the same product.
A customer cancelled the order after discovering the condition details of the used item. Consult the Listing Guidelines and Condition Guidelines before listing and make sure to assign the correct condition type to each item.
