Overseas Delivery of Products by Sellers (Before Starting Overseas Deliveries)

Overseas delivery by sellers is enabled using Delivery Settings, and there are no additional handling charges for the use of this function. For more information about setting delivery methods, see our help pages Merchant Fulfillment Non-Media Export and Delivery settings for books, music, videos, and DVDs (overseas media deliveries).

Before Starting Overseas Delivery

Overseas deliveries of products other than media are considered to be large-sum products. Overseas delivery settings can be enabled for each delivery pattern by assigning SKUs to templates. If set, all SKUs assigned to the delivery pattern will be eligible for overseas shipping.

Responses to queries from overseas buyers must be in English. Before enabling overseas deliveries, you must make preparations to respond to customers in English and check which products can be exported.

Make sure that the seller profiles displayed to buyers include the following descriptions in both English and Japanese:

  • Delivery charges: State whether or not the price includes customs duty and consumption tax.
  • Delivery policy: Add customs duty handling information to the delivery settings.
  • Enter the special products handling details
