Review shipments to Amazon

You can check the problems for shipping plan by using the following self-service tool.

Reviewing shipments is the fourth step in the six-step shipment creation workflow:

  1. Set quantity for shipment to Amazon
  2. Prepare your products for FBA shipping
  3. Label products
  4. Review shipments to Amazon
  5. Prepare shipment to Amazon
  6. Summary of shipment process

On the Review Shipments page, you can review and approve the final shipment plan. Fulfillment centers are selected based on the products you ship and where you are shipping from. In some plans, your inventory may be split into multiple shipments. Reasons may include one or more of the following:

  • Your inventory is distributed throughout Amazon's fulfillment network to optimize shipping speeds and minimize delays.
  • Products in your shipment have special storage or handling requirements.
  • Products in your shipment are processed differently at the fulfillment center.

Be careful for the following points after creating the shipment.

  • You will no longer be able to delete shipments and your ability to update product quantities will be limited.
  • Any listings that are currently "Fulfilled by the Merchant" will be changed to "Fulfilled by Amazon". They will become inactive on the Amazon website and you will not be able to fulfill orders directly. Once your inventory is received at an Amazon fulfillment center, the listings will become active again and we will begin fulfilling orders for you.
  • Your approved shipments will be expected at the Amazon fulfillment centers they were assigned to. If you do not ship to the assigned fulfillment center, your products will be returned to you at your expense.
  • When Amazon judges the abnormal quantity was input to the completed shipment plan, the shipment plan can be deleted by Amazon. Abnormal quantity is like quantity in the completed shipment plan is far more than previous delivered quantity.

Click View shipment contents to see all of the products in that shipment.

Add a product to an existing shipment

In order to add a product to an existing shipment, it must meet the following conditions;

  • If you are adding case-packed products, the existing shipment must also include case-packed products.
  • The "ship-from" address for both the shipping plan and the existing shipment must match.
  • The destination fulfillment center for the products you plan to add must match that of the existing shipment.
  • The seller should print and put the label on the product. Amazon cannot do it for the product added to the existing shipment.
  • The shipment must not have been created using "Scan & Ship".

To approve each shipment click the Work on Shipment button. Your shipments are automatically saved with each step you complete, so you can leave and return to complete them at a later time. To return to a shipment in progress, go to the Shipping Queue.
