Rules concerning issuance of sales receipts

These rules form a part of Amazon.co.jp Selling Policies, and are set forth in order to maintain fair sales platform for sellers.

If a purchaser requests issuance of a receipt in a transaction between the seller and the purchaser on Amazon Marketplace, the seller is required to issue the receipt as an obligation of a seller under the Japanese Civil Code, however, in such case Amazon.co.jp will issue the receipt on behalf of and in the name of the seller. In order to avoid duplicate issuance of receipts, the seller is not required to respond to the request in principle. At Amazon.co.jp, in principle, the purchaser may print out the receipt issued in the name of the seller from the site.
