Display of Information in accordance with the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions and other applicable laws

Persons selling goods through the Internet are required to display certain information regarding themselves, the products offered, and the transaction terms, etc. in accordance with applicable laws (including, but not limited to the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions). In addition, depending on the types of goods listed, sellers are required to obtain permits or licenses from, or to register or file notifications with, the relevant authorities under applicable laws, and/or display such information. In order to ensure that sellers are compliant with applicable laws and to allow customers to purchase goods with confidence, we require (1) all professional sellers and sellers who are entities, as well as all individual sellers who continuously and repeatedly list goods, display the information that is required to be displayed under the Specified Commercial Transactions Act, and (2) sellers who are required to obtain certain permits or licenses, or to register or file notifications with, the relevant authorities, to display the relevant permit/license number, registration number or notification number, etc.

The relevant sellers are required to display the relevant information in accordance with the instructions below. As the most current information is required to be displayed at all times, please update the information from time to time as necessary.

If sellers fail to display such information or display false information, sellers may be subject to actions that we determine as appropriate, including suspension or termination of selling privileges.  

Display of Detailed Seller Information

The following information should be displayed in the About Seller page.

  • Business name :
    • Professional sellers or business sellers: name in commercial register
    • Individual sellers: name in family register or trade name in commercial register
  • Phone Number: telephone number for inquiry from consumers
  • Address: the address at which the business is actually conducted (not a PO box, etc.). The name of the building, room number, etc., if applicable, should also be accurately displayed. Individual sellers are also required to display the location of the office, including the case where the office is located at his/her residential address
  • Name of Shop Representative: name in the family register of a person responsible for listing of goods (in the case of a corporation, such person is not required to be authorized to represent the corporation)
  • Display Name: name of the store of sellers on our website
  • License Information: type and number of license/ registration/ notification which is required to be displayed under the laws and regulations

Enter or change Seller Information

Please enter the information required above in accordance with the following steps, and confirm that the correct information is displayed in the About Seller page.

Go to Settings and click Account Info.


  1. Business Name:

    Click Legal Entity in the Business Information section.

    Amend the Legal business name of the company if necessary and click Update.

  2. Phone Number:

    Click Your Seller Profile on the upper left.

    Amend the information if necessary and click Submit (or Save).

  3. Address:

    Click Business Address on the Business Information section.

    Amend the information if necessary and click Submit (or Save).

  4. Name of Shop Representative:

    Click Your Seller Profile on the upper left.

    Amend the Representative Name if necessary and click Submit (or Save).

  5. Display Name:

    Click Your Seller Profile on the upper left.

    Amend the Display Name if necessary and click Submit (or Save).

  6. License Information:

    Perform the following steps at Business Information:


    1. Click Licenses Information.
    2. Choose the relevant type of permit/license from the pull-down list (Commercial Used Products No., Medicine and Drug Sales, Electronic commerce Alcoholic Beverage Sales License Number, General Retail Alcoholic Beverage Sales License Number, highly advanced controlled medical devices sales) and click Submit, or
    3. Amend the License Id field and click Submit. or
    4. Check the Remove License box to delete the license information.
    5. To add more license information, click Add Another License and select the relevant type of license (Commercial Used Products No., Electronic commerce Alcoholic Beverage Sales License Number, General Retail Alcoholic Beverage Sales License Number, Highly Advanced Controlled Medical Devices Sales, Medicine and Drug Sales) and click Submit.

Individual sellers who do not list goods continuously or repeatedly may choose to display the Display Name only. In order to do so, click Your Seller Profile on the upper left. The Seller Information page will be displayed. Choose No to the statement that I need to comply with the "Act on Specified Commercial Transaction".

Return Policies

Unless otherwise provided by Amazon, sellers need to comply with the Return Policy prescribed by Amazon.

Amazon Return Policy is displayed in the About Seller page. Sellers permitted by Amazon to apply its own return policy must display the applicable return policies in detail. Perform the following steps to display your own return policy:


  1. Go to Settings and click Your Info and Policies.
  2. Click Returns & Refunds.
  3. Insert the details of the Return Policy in the text box of Design View.

    Insert all the information such as conditions of items eligible for return and refund, shipping rates, return of defective items, etc.
